THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! Less than 100 Days to Big Surf Opening Day!🌊

That's right, opening day for Big Surf Waterpark this season is May 23rd. Mark your calendars and start counting down the days to visit the best waterpark in mid-Missouri! We're just as excited as all of our surfers for opening day and have been gearing up for the longest season in 10+ years. We know 100 days may seem like a long way off, but opening day will be here before we know it! Check out some of the awesome rides that await at Big Surf this summer!

THRILLING Rides at Big Surf

Zambezi Falls

Drop down an exhilarating three-stories into the Lake’s Largest Half Pipe full of rushing water. Cross your feet, put your chin to your chest, hold tight, and scream – LOUDLY! This thrilling ride is a fan favorite!

Space Bowl

One of our most unique rides is also popular among thrill seekers. The first of its kind in the US, our Space Bowl drops you from a sweet, swift slide into a 30-ft wide bowl that spins you ‘round and ‘round until you drop into an 8-foot deep catch pool.

The Rapids

This ride is a family favorite! Whirl and twirl your way down the whitewater rapids. Start this ride on either the big yellow slide or down below in the first catch pool for a kinder, gentler experience. End up making a big splash in the 3-foot-pool at the end of the rapids.

Challenger Flumes

Find your partner and race and rush down dueling 300 feet water slides into a waiting 3-foot-deep catch pool. The yellow flume’s open above, and the blue flume twists and turns in covered darkness. Who will make it to the bottom first?

Activity Pool

Imagine if your best friend had the coolest backyard swimming pool ever. Pretty cool -- we have to agree! A 4-foot-deep pool with free swimming allowed that features a crazy lily pad bridge, a basketball goal, and two swift body slides. There's something all can enjoy in this fun area!

RELAXING Rides at Big Surf:

Wave Pool

Catch a wave in our 375,000-gallon pool that generates waves up to three feet tall. Relax in the shallow area or grab a tube and hit the deeper end to ride the tides every 10 minutes. Another family favorite can be found at the heart of the waterpark!

Tropical Splash Island

A zero-entry pool suited for younger children – with water levels ranging from just six to 18 inches – that includes a water teeter-totter, bikes, squirting animals, tipping toucans, a couple mini-slides and lots and lots of room to splash and play!

Dry Ground Area

Take a break from the waves and enjoy sand volleyball, shuffleboard, pool, and basketball! There’s also a sandbox and a children’s playground for our younger guests to partake in. It's a fun area where you can dry off and still have fun at our waterpark!

Lazy River

Take a trip around the relaxing 600 feet river! Our lazy river winds through about half the park as kids of all ages enjoy soaking up the sun at a snail’s pace. Take as many trips around as you'd like -- you won’t want to get out – trust us!

What water rides at Big Surf Waterpark are you most excited to catch in the 2020 season? We can't wait to kick off the season in style with our favorite surfers! Make plans to join us for opening weekend and get the summer off on the right foot.
